Do you know your acne?

The market for acne treatment and skin concerns has spiked in the last decade. The more the patients, the more solutions. But before going into which treatment to use or what are the best products for acne it is essential to know your acne.

Acne, in its most basic understanding, is a skin problem caused by an irregularity of oil levels and clogged pores. It can be due to bacteria, excess oil, or even hormonal acne. Yes, we are not relying on this simplified understanding of the problem. There are mainly two types of acne - inflammatory and non-inflammatory.

Non Inflammatory acne is caused when the pores are clogged with sebum due to excess oil and dead skin. Blackheads and whiteheads are common examples of this type of acne.

Meanwhile, Inflammatory acne can be caused due to bacterial reactions n the body. Although the clogging of pores is common to both of these inflammatory acne might be a reason for a deep skin-related problem causing pain and severe reactions on the skin. Papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts are examples of this type of acne.

What is CBD oil?

Knowing that CBD is derived from Cannabinoids, popularly known as marijuana, might make people question its medical powers. But it is not true. Although CBD oils do contain some amount of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it is not as psychologically affected as marijuana. One question that we encounter people struggling with is if CBD oil and hemp oil are the same. And we get where you are coming from but it stops right here!

Just like other around 80 chemicals, both CBD and hemp oil also originates from the same plant, hemp. Although it is a branch of cannabis Sativa, it can be used to make a variety of products. CBD oil and hemp seed oil are two such products.

The difference between the two is most evident from their names and the processes involved in extracting each of them. While CBD is derived from the flowers and stem of the plant, the hemp seed oil is literally derived from the seeds of the same.

Before diving into the uses of both it is essential to know further specificities. There are mainly three types of CBD oils- full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and CBD isolate. Since the full spectrum CBD oil contains THC it cannot be used in dietary supplements as it has strong psychological effects. Whereas Broad-spectrum contains a lower amount of other components. Finally, the CBD isolate only contains CBD components and is found in powder form in the markets.
